MEET OUR WARRIORS

Karli

At the age of 4 Karli was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. Leading up to her diagnoses Karli experienced headaches and dizziness which would cause vomiting and fatigue. After months of (unsuccessful) Dr. visits in hopes of finding out what was causing Karli to feel ill, it wasn’t until Feb. 14th 2025, when karli collapsed and was unable to stand back up on her own, (Mom) Andrea rushed her to the ER and that’s when they found a tumor located in the back of her brain.

On February 15th 2025, Karli was medevaced to Kapi’olani where they were able to successfully remove the tumor. Following her tumor removal she completed 6 weeks of proton radiation along with weekly chemo in San Diego and then 6 rounds of chemo at Kapi’olani. After weeks of radiation, rounds of chemo and some needed surgeries in between, karli has been nothing short of resilient and amazing!

Karli is now 6 years old and She loves to shop, sing, dance, play at the park and go to the beach to catch sand crabs with mom, dad and her two older brothers. We cherish every second with her! We continue to lean on our faith and never forget all the love and support that has been and continues to be shared with us throughout this journey. We are very grateful for The Kaylan strong foundation. Michela has been such a blessing and inspiration to our ‘ohana.
